Example of a completed sample Compartment Record and Action Record.

These are detailed rercords, observations and objectives and actions taken on the different subsections of the forest. The subsections are called compartments and are typically areas which have common terrain, flora/fauna and therefore a single management plan.

Subdividing into compartments makes it easier to talk about the various areas of the forest and to organise management plans. Ours all have names. The example givn here is of the Terrace Block, so named because it is a relatively flat area running the length of the ridge of the one of  the highest parts of the forest.
